St. Louis Startup SwipeSum Selected as 2018 Arch Grants Winner

SwipeSum has been selected as one of twenty startups to receive a St. Louis Arch Grant. The selection was announced at the Arch Grants Gala on Friday, November 16. Since moving the business to St. Louis in January 2018, SwipeSum CEO Michael Seaman has viewed the grant as an important benchmark for SwipeSum’s success.“Our team comes from all across the country, but we’re proud to call St. Louis home,” Seaman commented. “We’re truly honored to be selected from among so many great companies in the area. This grant will be instrumental in our growth, and will be spent on creating jobs in downtown St. Louis."

As recipients of an Arch Grant, SwipeSum will receive a $50,000 non-equity grant as well as discounted business services from local firms. Seaman anticipates that the funding will be used to add to the ever-growing SwipeSum team as well as facilitate a move to a larger office space.Seaman added: “We have to offer our thanks to the Arch Grants organization, who have been really great mentors throughout the whole process. We hope to be one of the great success stories to come out of St. Louis, and their contribution will not be overlooked. We hope to be able to give back that money tenfold.”
